McKnight Crossings Church of Christ

The baptismal pool leaks and needs repair.
In November 2023 it was noticed that the baptismal pool was slowly leaking. Up to that point the pool was always kept filled and chemicals, pumps, and filters were used to keep the water clean. After the leak was noticed the baptismal pool was drained and only filled (half-way) when there was a baptism scheduled.
After receiving several bids it was decided to contract with A New Look Resurfacing, as they had the best quote and also presented well when discussing the situation with Tom Hunsaker, McKnight's Facility Manager.
After the baptismal pool is repaired the plan is to continue to keep it empty until needed. The hope is to extend the life of the tub by avoiding harsh chemicals. It will also reduce weekly maintenance time as Tom Hunsaker will no longer need to check water PH, mix chemicals, run the pumps and filters, etc. Removing the pump and filter outlets will also remove points of failure and leakage. These openings will all be covered with new fiberglass patching.
